The "Stein im Brett" award has become like an "Oscar" for the construction industry and is awarded annually in Germany by the leading construction project information service ibau. The assessment basis used by the specialist jury, which consists of professional tradespeople, includes the aspects of product quality, value for money, ease of use and whether they would recommend the products. In 30 categories, 2,544 skilled trade businesses selected online, from among 299 manufacturers, the products that they particularly liked in 2018. Ströher GmbH – the extrusion specialist for the production of frost-resistant outdoor floor and façade ceramics – was ranked third in the Tiles category, immediately after the corporate giants in the ceramics market.
